Hyderabad, 14 March 2026: Uruguay confirmed a fifth place finish at the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers 2026 Hyderabad, Telangana, defeating Wales 3-0 in the 5/6th place match held at the G. M. C. Balayogi Hockey Ground (Gachibowli Hockey Complex) on Saturday.
Teresa Viana (23’), Magdalena Verga (36’) and Lupe Curutchague (57’) netted for Uruguay.
