Jamshedpur, 03rd October 2025: Petroleum Sports Promotion Board, Railway Sports Promotion Board and Punjab & Sind Bank emerged victorious in their respective fixtures on the fourth day of the 5th Hockey India Senior Men Inter-Department National Championship 2025, at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy ground ISWP ground in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.
In a Pool A clash, Petroleum Sports Promotion Board edged past Punjab National Bank, 4-3. Gurjinder Singh (2’, 24’) gave Petroleum Sports Promotion Board the early lead and doubled his tally in the second quarter, while Yousuf Affan (31’, 60’) also registered a brace, including a late winner. Meanwhile, goals from Satender Kumar (20’, 42’) and Arjun (27’) had kept Punjab National Bank in the contest till the end.
In Pool B, Railway Sports Promotion Board triumphed against Comptroller & Auditor General of India, 5-2. Despite conceding as early as the eleventh minute, Railway Sports Promotion Board bounced back with goals from Atul Deep (30’), Pratap Lakra (34’), Captain, Sayyad Niyaz Rahim (50’), Simranjot Singh (43’), and Darshan Vibhav Gawkar (49’). Veerathamizhan V (11’) and Thrishul Ganapathi (58’) were the goal-scorers for Comptroller & Auditor General of India.
In another Pool B fixture, Punjab & Sind Bank defeated Sashastra Seema Bal, 7-0. Harmanjit Singh (6’, 40’, 53’) starred in the victory with three goals while Charanjeet Singh (5’, 12’), and Jaskaran Singh (30’, 36) also logged braces to complete a comprehensive victory.
