~ Railways Sports Promotion Board defeated Sports Authority of India 3-1 in Semi-Final 1 ~
~ Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. – Women defeated Central Board of Direct Taxes 8-0 in Semi-Final 2 ~
New Delhi, 03rd October 2025: As we inch closer to the summit clash of the 5th Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2025 here at the Shivaji Stadium in the capital city – New Delhi, we have our two finalists ready for their last move on the turf tomorrow. Railways Sports Promotion Board and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. – Women defeated their respective opponents in Semi-Finals today to play against each other to lift the trophy.
In the first Semi-Final match, Railways Sports Promotion Board defeated Sports Authority of India 3-1. Lalremsiami (7’), Navneet Kaur (39’) and Vandana Katariya (50’) rose to the occasion as they scored a goal each to affirm their berth in the Final. On the other side for Sports Authority of India, Garlanka Varahalamma (53’) managed to score the consolation goal for Sports Authority of India.
In the second Semi-Final match, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. – Women defeated the Central Board of Direct Taxes 8-0. Rajwinder Kaur (12’, 43’) scored a brace whereas Captain Udita (40’), Mumtaz Khan (49’), Sharmila Devi (52’), Jyoti (56’), Seema (58’) and Suman Devi TH (60’) also contributed with one goal each and secured a spot in the final against Railways Sports Promotion Board tomorrow.
Sports Authority of India will compete against Central Board of Direct Taxes for the 3rd/4th position match at 1000 HRS whereas Railways Sports Promotion Board will face-off against Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. – Women for the title clash at 1200 HRS tomorrow at the Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi.
