PVL Season 4 Auction: Jerome Vinith, Shameemudheen, and Vinit Kumar Among Top Earners

Calicut, June 8, 2025: Jerome Vinith C, Shameemudheen and Vinit Kumar grabbed the limelight during the PVL Season 4 auction as the three were sold for a whooping sum of Rs 22.5 lakh each in the platinum category. While Jerome’s services were bought by Chennai Blitz, Shameemudheen went to Calicut Heroes. Vinit joined Kochi Blue Spikers.

As many 789 players went under the hammer as 10 franchises bid for some of the finest talents in volleyball ahead of the fourth edition of Prime Volleyball league in Calicut. A total of six crore eight lakh fifty thousand was spent by the franchises.

Apart from Jerome Vinith, Chennai Blitz roped in M Ashwin Raj, Aditya Rana and Sameer Chaudhary for Rs 8 lakh each, Nanjil Surya for Rs 5.75 lakh, T Srikanth for 6.5 lakh, Tarun Gowda K for Rs 4.25 lakh, Kaila vishnu vardhan babu and Namith MN for Rs 3 lakh each.

While Calicut Heroes have the services of Shameemudheen, they got some more balance in the squad with the inclusion of Santhosh S for Rs 11.5 lakh, Mohanukkrapandian for Rs 8 lakh, Abdul Raheem for 4 lakh and Mukesh Kumar for the same amount and Haris, Kiranrajthevalil and Ussama Rehamath for Rs 3 lakh each.

Kochi Blue Spikers added more strength to the squad as they included Jasjodh Singh for a massive amount of Rs 14.75 lakh, Amalkthomas for Rs 6.5 lakh and Janshad U for Rs 4.25 lakh, Ayush Pandey, Nirmal George, Sachin K, Hemanth P and Alan Ashiqe VL for Rs 3 lakh each.

Ahmedabad Defenders bought Shon T John for Rs 11.5 lakh, Angamuthu for Rs 11 lakh, Akhin GS for Rs 10.25 lakh, Arshak Sinan for Rs 8 lakh, P Prabakaran for Rs 3.25 lakh, Dhruvil Patel, Abhinav BS and Harsh Chaudhari for Rs 3 lakh each.

Bengaluru Torpedoes who joined the party late but spent some big bucks on Jishnu PV to buy him for Rs 14 lakh. Joel Benjamin J joined Bengaluru for Rs 6.5 lakh while Rohit Kumar and Ibin Jose were included at a price of Rs 5 lakh each. Himanshu Tyagi was included in the squad for Rs 4.25 lakh while they also bought Sandeep for Rs 3 lakh, Nitin Minhas for Rs 4.2 lakh.

Delhi Toofans made massive bids as they spent Rs 11 lakh on Muhammed Jasim and a sum of Rs 9 lakh for Aayush and bought Mannat Choudhary for Rs 6.5 lakh, George Antony for Rs 5 lakh, Abhishek Rajeev, Avinash and Rijas K R for Rs 3 lakh each.

Hyderabad Black Hawks also spent a large amount of money as they bought Shikhar Singh for Rs 16 lakh, Aman Kumar for 11.5 lakh, Deepu Venugopal for Rs 5.75 lakh, Rajneesh Singh for Rs 3 lakh, Preet Karan for Rs 4.75 lakh, Athul and Digvijay Singh for Rs 3 lakh each.

Kolkata Thunder Bolts roped in Pankaj Sharma for Rs 6 lakh, Srajan Shetty for Rs 5 lakh, Jithin n for Rs 5.75 lakh, Suryansh Tomar for Rs 4 lakh, Lalsujan MV for Rs 6.25 lakh, Muhammad Iqbal for Rs 7 lakh. Amit Chhoker will also join them as he was bought for Rs 5 lakh while Muhammad Fawaz. M was bought for Rs 3 lakh.

Mumbai Meteors made some solid bids and got Lad OmVasant and Karthik A for Rs 8 lakh each, Sonu, Nikhil and Vipul Kumar for Rs 5 lakh each, Nikhil Choudhary for Rs 4 lakh. Mumbai also bought Abhinav Salar and Yogesh Kumarfor Rs 3 lakh each .

Goa Guardians bought Prince for Rs 8 lakh, Ramanathan R for Rs 8 lakh, Vikram and Dushyant Singh for Rs 4 lakh each, Rohit Yadav for Rs 3.5 lakh, Jerry Daniel for Rs 3 lakh.

All the franchises had the option to retain their players from previous editions or release them in the pool for auction. While the Indian players were divided into four categories, the overseas players were drafted directly into the teams.
