The Semi-Final matches of the “2nd Michael Kindo Memorial Championship Trophy 2026 –

All India Women’s Hockey Championship” were conducted successfully today at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, showcasing high-intensity competition and exceptional performances by the participating teams.

The championship, being organised by the Bhubaneswar Hockey Club Trust in association with the Hockey Association of Odisha, continues to promote women’s hockey and honour the legacy of legendary Olympian Michael Kindo.

The day’s matches were graced by distinguished guest Dr. Satyajeet Choudhary, whose presence served as a great source of encouragement for the players and organisers. Also present on the occasion was former National Hockey player Goutam Mohanty.

Among other dignitaries present were Sanatan Sahoo, Secretary, Hockey Association of Odisha; Capt. Ratikanta Nayak, Chairman, Bhubaneswar Hockey Club Trust; Ranjan Kumar Das, Secretary, Bhubaneswar Hockey Club Trust; and International Hockey Technical Official Nishan Jyoti Mohanty.

The first Semi-Final match witnessed an exciting contest where South Eastern Railway defeated CISF by 4–2, securing their place in the Grand Final.

In the second Semi-Final, Sports Hostel Sundargarh faced SAI Kolkata in a competitive encounter, with SAI Kolkata emerging victorious to book their spot in the Final.

With the conclusion of the Semi-Finals, the stage is now set for an exciting Grand Final between South Eastern Railway and SAI Kolkata, scheduled to be held on 27th May 2026 at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.

The organisers expressed their appreciation to all teams, officials, and supporters for their continued cooperation and enthusiasm, contributing to the success of the championship.
