Goa, October 2024 – Akshat Kaushal, serving District Superintendent, has made history by becoming the first officer in his role to complete the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa race. This year’s event witnessed a remarkable turnout from the Goa Police, with five teams competing under the Servicemen category, including highly trained ATS commandos. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Omvir Singh, IPS, participated in the relay event for the third consecutive year, joined by SP Crime Branch Rahul Gupta, IPS, and Akshat Ayush, IPS, in a powerful display of the department’s dedication to health and resilience.
The Servicemen category at IRONMAN 70.3 Goa also welcomed participants from India’s armed and government services, with teams from the Indian Navy, Army, and other branches of service uniting in a shared commitment to fitness and personal challenge. These participants embody the strength and camaraderie within India’s public service sectors, showcasing the drive and athleticism that make them leaders both on and off duty.
