Sports Hostel Rourkela Wins Championship in a Thrilling Shootout
Rourkela, 03 October 2024: The 3rd Sub Junior Women Hockey Championship 2024 came to an exciting conclusion at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, Rourkela. Sports Hostel Rourkela emerged victorious after defeating Sports Hostel Sundargarh in a closely contested final that ended 0-0, with a shootout score of 2-1. In the match for third and fourth positions, Sundargarh put on a dominant performance, beating Gangpur Hockey Association 5-0.
The event saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Smt Nibedita Pradhan (OAS-SB), Sudipta Kumar Naik (OAS), Smt Vandana Uikey (Head Coach, Sports Hostel Rourkela – Women’s), Smt Sebati Dansana (Financial Officer, BPUT Rourkela), and Sanatan Sahoo (Secretary, Hockey Association of Odisha).
